Global Strategy Solution

When recognizing the magnitude of the situation, two main questions come to mind:

1. Why is there no apparent solution to such an important industry until today?

In order to properly address this question, it is necessary to look at the present condition of the global logistics industry from a different perspective. First and foremost, the question itself forces us to be in a narrow corridor trying to resolve a global concern. This narrow corridor or perspective is represented as follows:

This process works fine when addressing the needs of a specific customer. But what we really need is a global solution process. That which is required then are the following fundamental elements:

  1. A comprehensive shelf-to-shelf open source software technology platform. [+/-]
  2. So, what does that do? It provides non-intrusive integration with existing software systems coupled with internet linkage between all entities involved in a single shipment activity. This enables global end-to-end management of cargo movement by all shipping modes and provides a common global open platform for multiple RFID and GPS tracking providers.

This is known as “GHELS” the Global Horizontal E-Logistics System.

  3. A Global Network of renowned multinational entities around the world. [+/-]
  4. A truly effective global solution requires geo-political acceptance, global rapid deployment and the need to offset potential concerns of monopolistic power over an industry so vital to today’s interdependent global economy. Thus, one organization or nation cannot provide such a global solution on its own. The GHELS multi-national deployment strategy securing an effective and successful rapid global adaptation is of paramount importance!

This is known as the GHELS Global Network.

  5. A rapid global deployment strategy. [+/-]
  6. The need for the global logistics industry to change, combined with the strength of the GHELS Global Network and the fact that it is made available to shippers, logistics service providers, and points-of-entry worldwide at no cost represents a comprehensive and proactive approach to the needs of the global logistics industry.

This is known as the Rapid Global Deployment Plan.

This represents the essence of the foundation of the World Logistics Council Global Network.

2. Why has no one done it before?

The reason is that the large technology solution providers are structured in a way that forces them to remain within the narrow corridor. A truly global solution cannot be fashioned in this way. For if any one large technology provider were to attempt this, he/she would face a serious geopolitical backlash because no country would want this vital industry to be controlled by a single foreign entity. That company would also face serious monopolistic concerns because no one company should be able to control this industry by itself and for its own profit. Additionally, the company would confront the problem of not being able to deploy a system rapidly enough because of all the other entities around the globe that would need to buy into the program, For this reason, no one single entity even the largest in the world would be able to effectively deploy the overall solution.
